Highway 1 remains closed at Regent’s Slide, 40 miles north of Ragged Point
Sadly, it will be closed until January, 2026. There is detour available. Please know it will take over 3 hours to arrive past this point heading north.

Viewing areas are open every day. There are no fees or reservations required. No public transportation is available.

Explore Big Sur
There is still much more to explore north of Ragged Point. Just be sure to take note of Highway 1 closures before planning your sight seeing!
